Saturday 25th November 2023 will go down in the history books for Female Sport as the official launch of the new brand Female Cue Sports Ireland was held at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge
Female Cue Sports Ireland is now the new umbrella organisation that will take over from the Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association which was established on 17th July 1986, however RILSA will continue its work as the organisation developing female snooker and the Republic of Ireland Ladies Billiards Association established in December 2015 will continue developing female billiards and the Republic of Ireland Ladies Pool Association established in December 2022 will commence its development in ladies pool in 2024.
RILSA – RILBA – RILPA are now the organisations under Female Cue Sports Ireland. The Board of RILSA have transferred to Female Cue Sports Ireland at the RILSA AGM in the Keadeen Hotel Newbridge on 25th July 2023 with a 3 person committee of each organisation taking up positions as chairperson, secretary and delegate one of which will be from the Board of Female Cue Sports.
Two new pop ups were unveiled on the day along with the new crest and promotional pins, pens and ties were given out to the Board and our current qualified referees. We will be handing these out to our members during the season.
