Female Cue Sports Ireland completed another Introductory Level Coaching Course in Snooker and Billiards at their Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently, reaching 20 female coaches on their books in just over 6 months since the first course was held late in November 2023.
It was envisaged at that time we could possibly have 20 female coaches by the end of 2024, however we are well ahead of our target for the year and we will now look at holding a number of courses by the end of the year to help increase the numbers further
Those who attended the last course were delighted to be part of our vision going forward in helping to increase interest and build a strong coaching presence especially within our school and college initiative where the real grass roots of our sport is noticed and gains a much wider audience among the all girl school development in particular.
Congratulations to Hazel McWey, Joanna Ward and Jennifer Earle for their attendance and dedication to helping as coaches in the near future to encourage young females into cue sports at what ever level they wish to get involved either just for fun at school or competitively at Intermediate and should they wish to advance to Amateur or higher in the future, we are here to help
