Cathy Dunne from Dublin won her second RILSA National 10 Red Snooker Championship title in Celbridge recently

The 10  Red National Snooker Championship Cup is named the Margaret Browne Cup for her many years on the RILSA Tour and continues to play on the tour to this day

At the prelim round Jackie Trulock from Dublin had a 2 nil win over Brigid Mulvany also from Dublin to advance to the Quarters and Cathy Dunne from Dublin overcame a challenge from Natalia Trochonowic from Kildare with a 2 nil win to complete the Quarter final line up

Annette Newman from Carlow had a close encounter with Grushenka Arnold from Wicklow but held firm going into the final frame to take it on a pink ball for a place in the semis.  Jackie Trulock from Dublin had a good 2 nil win over Veronica Hallahan from Dublin for a place in the semis and a meeting with Annette

At the other end of the draw Cathy Dunne from Dublin saw off a challenge from Joanna Ward from Kildare to get over the line with a 2 frames to nil win and Christine Carr from Kildare had a good 2 nil win over our current National U21 Champion Qianhui Ye from Wicklow to meet Cathy in the semis

In the semis Jackie took the first frame against Annette but Annette came back to level the match and going into the 3rd and final frame it was close going down to a black ball finish with Jackie taking it to reach her second RILSA National Amateur Snooker final on tour.  On the other table Cathy had a close match against Christine but showed her experience and with a few 20 plus breaks got the 2 nil win to meet Jackie in the final

In the final Jackie had chances to take frame 1 but Cathy took it and played well in frame 2 to take the win 2 frames to nil on the day and her second RILSA National 10 Red Snooker Championship title
