Stephanie Foley from Carlow was presented with the RILSA Bronze International Cap award by the RILSA President Annette Newman recently.
Stephanie reached 10 International Caps for Ireland at the World Women’s Billiards Jim Williamson Event in Leeds. This certificate and pin is a testament of her commitment and dedication to female cue sports and the award is so well deserved.
Stephanie’s first outing for Ireland was the Women’s Irish Billiards Open in 2021 where she reached the Semis of the event. At the Women’s Irish Billiards Masters also in 2021 she reached the quarter finals. In 2022 Stephanie competed in the Irish Billiards Open in Carlow followed by her participation in the Women’s European Billiards Championship in Leeds where she reached the Quarters and then went on to finish in the Semis of the Women’s World Billiards Championship in Newbridge
Stephanie played in the WBL Irish Open again in 2023 and officiated as a referee at the WBL World Matchplay Championship both were held at the SBI Academy Carlow. She continued her officiating at the World Disability Championships again in Carlow as a referee and was a team player at the Home Internationals in Leeds as part of the first ever female billiard player teams to participate.
Congratulations to Stephanie on her great achievement and we are certain she will one day gain the Silver Cap Award for 15 caps for Ireland.
