The RILBA National Amateur Billiards League has commenced at the RILSA Academy Sharkx recently
10 Female players will contest this years National Billiards League with Annette Newman from Carlow looking to make it 6 in a row, however there are players in the mix that are very capable of causing an upset by League’s end such as Joanna Ward and Christine Carr both from Kildare. These two players have won the 100 Up Championship in the past and are gaining ground all the time
Other players who have shown great progress are Jackie Trulock, Veronica Hallahan both from Dublin and the current U21 Billiards Champion Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare
Back on tour is Stephanie Foley from Carlow after a few season’s out due to injury, she is hoping to do well and get back to playing good Billiards as the league progresses
Relatively newcomer Brigid Mulvany is enjoying her Billiards and is looking to improve her scoring during the League while newcomers Jess Curran and Colette Cribben are looking to make their mark also by making good scores during their matches and gaining experience as the take up Billiards as one of their chosen cue sport disciplines
