The second National Intermediate Billiards Ranking event was won by Tina Keogh from Offaly.

In the first session, Jennifer Earle from Dublin got off to a good start taking the win over the current Intermediate Champion, Valerie Maloney from Laois, with a 6 point advantage on the alarm 45-39.  Tina Keogh from Offaly was in good form against Stephanie Foley from Carlow taking the win with a good score of 58-27 as the clock ran down in their match.

Session 2 saw Tina continue her form taking the win against Valerie 47-33 on the alarm while Jennifer just pipped Stephanie on the alarm 29-25 in a low scoring match.

The 3rd and final session would see Stephanie step up a gear to take the win against Valerie on the alarm 46-36 while Jennifer had a good result against Tina finishing with an 8 point clear on the clock 39-31

After the points were tallied, Tina took the title with 136 points, followed by Jennifer with 113 to take runner up while Valerie was a close 3rd on 108 points with Stephanie in 4th place on 98

Congratulations to Tina on her win and to Jennifer on a fine performance.  Tina has come back after a season out to continue her good form in Intermediate Billiards while Jennifer has improved now having reached two final spots and it won’t be long until she takes her first title.  Thanks to all the girls for their support and to Paul, Bernie and staff of Sharkx for all their help and support towards female cue sports.
