Tina Keogh from Offaly won the final Intermediate Snooker Ranking event of the 2021-2022 Season at the Celbridge Snooker Club Kildare recently.
In the quarter final stage of the event Stephanie Foley from Carlow played solid snooker to oust Christine Carr from Kildare to take the frame and advance to meet Tina Keogh from Offaly in the semis. Jennifer Earle from Dublin was in fine form against Joanna Ward from Kildare and won the frame needed to move into the semis while Louise Maher from Kilkenny kept up her form against Grushenka Arnold from Dublin winning their frame to meet Jennifer and complete the semi final line up.
Stephanie had chances against Tina in their match but Tina finished strong taking the colours to reach the final while Louise had to fight to keep in touching distance of Jennifer as they reached the colours where Louise picked them off for a place in her 4th final in a row.
In the final Tina stuck with Louise all the way to a black ball finish with Tina potting black for the win and title thus gaining her the number 2 spot on the final rankings. Louise is now in at number 5 on the National intermediate ranking in her first season with RILSA great achievements for both ladies and retaining her number 1 spot is Stephanie while Christine is 3rd and Jennifer 4th. A full report on the rankings to follow soon.
Congratulations to Tina on her win and well done to Louise on a fine performance. Thanks to all the girls for their support as always and thanks to Phil Martin and staff of the Celbridge Snooker Club for all their help and support.
