Annette Newman from Carlow won the 6 Red Snooker Plate Competition at the Celbridge Snooker Club recently. This 1 frame event would see some of our newcomers move through the rounds as the event played out.
Stephanie Foley from Carlow ousted the youngster Jennifer Earle from Dublin in their Quarter final game to advance to meet Annette in the semis while Veronica Hallahan went through over Claire Mill both Dublin players to make a semi final spot. Jackie Trulock from Dublin ousted Margaret Browne from Meath to complete the semi final line up.
Annette was in good form against Stephanie and won the frame to reach the final while Jackie took the frame against her mam Veronica to make it to her second final on the ladies tour this season.
In the final Annette was the stronger on the day and won the frame on the colours to take the win against Jackie
