Christine Carr from Kildare won the first RILPA National Pool Ranking Event of the 2026 Season at Sharkx Newbridge recently
In the group round robin stages Jackie Trulock from Dublin had a 2 nil win over Jess Curran from Kildare in their group A match and Tina Keogh from Offaly had a 2 nil win over Brigid Mulvany from Dublin in their match
In group B Veronica Hallahan from Dublin had a 2 nil win over Colette Cribben from Kildare and Christine Carr from Kildare drew in her match 1-1 against Sophie Tyrrell from Carlow
In session 2 group A matches saw Jackie continue her winning streak with a 2 nil win over Brigid and Tina also continued her winning streak with a 2 nil win over Jess
Group B matches saw Sophie draw with Veronica 1-1 and Christine got her first 2 nil win over Colette
In the final session group A matches saw Tina take a 2 nil win over Jackie and Brigid with a 2 nil win over Jess while in group B we saw Christine take a 2 nil win over Veronica and Sophie finishing with a 2 nil win over Colette
With Christine and Tina qualifying from the groups to play a best of 3 final it would be Christine who would get the better of Tina in both frames needed to take the win
