
Valerie Maloney from Laois received her National Ranking Certificate from our President Annette Newman for having reached a top 4 in Female Cue Sports National Ranking events
We are presenting our player members with National Ranking Certificates as part of our 40th year celebrations and in doing so recognising these ladies for their commitment and dedication to Cue Sports
Our National Ranking Certificate incorporates both Amateur and Intermediate rankings in both Snooker and Billiards
On the Intermediate Billiards Rankings Valerie reached number 1 in 2018 and retained her number 1 in 2019 and again in 2020 and currently holds the record of Irish Intermediate Billiards number 1 on 3 occasions an amazing achievement for Valerie, she has held the number 3 spot during 2021-2022-2023 soon after went up to Amateur level
On the Intermediate Snooker Tour Valerie reached number 1 in 2015 being the first woman to hold the Irish National Intermediate Snooker number 1 and was number 2 in 2017. Valerie would return to number 1 in 2019 after a great season on tour. Was number 3 in 2024 and back to number 2 in 2025 and is very capable of making it a 3rd time as Irish number 1
On the Amateur Billiards Tour Valerie reached number 4 in 2017 and went into 3rd spot in 2018 and kept 3rd place in 2019. Again a great result for Valerie who is one of Ireland’s top Female Billiard players on the Amateur Tour
