The Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association were delighted to be part of the Kildare Sports Partnership Open Day at the Curragh Racecourse on Sunday 21st May.
They expected in the region of 500-600 attendance but there was over 4,000 in attendance which made it a fantastic success for them and the organisers.
RILSA had a stand area in the pavilion and we were delighted with the interest shown by many of the people who stopped to enquire about female cue sports.
Thanks to John Doran of the Kildare Sports Partnership for his kind offer of a place on the day and congratulations to him and his team on the success of the event.
Thanks to Valerie Maloney and Dave Earle who helped out throughout the day and provided information along with signing up new members to the Association.
Thanks to Kildare FM for their interest and interviewing us and giving airtime to female sport
We will be back again next year as its a very worthwhile event to showcase our organisation to the wider audience.
