Annette Newman, Dan Carroll and Martin Foley participated in the recent WBL Irish Open at the SBI Academy Carlow. All really enjoyed the event and represented Ireland with pride. Stephanie Foley and Dave Earle officiated over the weekend of the event and did a fantastic job.
The Billiards Community is certainly very welcoming and supportive of all who are part of the organisation. Their open door policy allowing everyone to participate and officiate is something that should be rolled out for cue sports in general
The Organising committee Aonghus McAnally, Chris Coumbe, Darren Clarke and Jason Colebrook do an exceptional job both in advance of such events and are on the ground ensuring the smooth running of these events and are to be commended for their great work.
The SBI Billiard players and Referees are a delight to work with and play against. Brendan Devlin takes it all in his stride and is one of the most experienced referees on the WBL circuit
Thanks to everyone who participated and officiated throughout the weekend of the event and congratulations to Dave Causier on retaining his Irish Open title, hard luck to Rob Hall who was the runner up and had some great results along the way to the final
