Louise Maher from Kilkenny won her first National Intermediate Snooker Ranking event of the 2022-2023 season after a good display of snooker throughout the competition.

In the prelim match Louise Maher won her match against Joanna Ward from Kildare to set up an encounter with the provisional number 1, Christine Carr from Kildare in the semis.  Christine had her chances against Louise but Louise ran out the winner on the colours in the frame needed for a place in the final.

On the other table Jennifer Earle from Dublin and our current National U21 Champion took Grushenka Arnold also from Dublin all the way to the pink ball and potted it in their match to advance to the final to meet Louise

The final itself was close for a while with Jennifer having chances but Louise put the frame needed to bed as she potted the colours for game and match.

Congratulations to Louise on her win and well done to Jennifer on her great performance.  Thanks to all the girls for their participation and support.

Thanks to Phil Martin and staff of Celbridge Snooker Club for all their help and support towards female cue sports
