As part of our partnership agreement with SBI, we were delighted to have the SBI Referees Association hold a seminar in Snooker refereeing at our Academy Sharkx recently. The Seminar was presented by Neil Shanahan and Shane Mason.
RILSA had 9 representatives who wish to become official referees who will fill a panel set up by RILSA in order to have fully trained referees who will be able to help out at future events.
There will be a further 2 seminars held over the coming months to train our students to become official Snooker and Billiard referees.
On behalf of the Board and membership of RILSA we want to thank Neil and Shane of the Referees Association for all their help and support in this joint effort to promote cue sports and further develop and increase referees here in Ireland.
We look forward to a great working relationship and a better future for cue sports and in particular female cue sports.
