Tina Keogh from Offaly won the first National Intermediate Snooker Ranking event of the new season at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge.  This is her 8th ranking event win, putting her into second place on the Intermediate Snooker Ranking records just 3 behind Christine Carr who holds top place to date on 11 wins.

Tina won the National Intermediate Snooker Championship title in 2016 and has been to 5 other finals on the National Intermediate Snooker tour since its inception in 2014.  Tina’s progress on tour in both Intermediate and Amateur Snooker over the years, has seen her improve greatly and is knocking on the door of becoming an Amateur player in the future.

In the prelim round, Tina Keogh from Offaly ousted Valerie Maloney from Laois to advance to the semis and Christine Carr from Kildare also had a good win over Stephanie Foley from Carlow to complete the semi final line up.

In the Semi Finals Tina played well against Grushenka Arnold from Dublin to take the win and a place in the final, on the other table Jennifer Earle from Dublin had a good win over Christine to meet Tina in the final

The final was close for the most part but Tina held well to take the frame needed on the colours to take the win.

Congratulations to Tina on her win and well done to Jennifer on a fine performance.  Thanks to all the girls for their support and participation and thanks to Stephanie for refereeing the final.  Thanks also to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support
