Dave Earle from Dublin received the Bronze International Certificate and Pin award for having represented Ireland on 10 occasions at World and International events as an Official Referee and Delegate.

The President of RILSA Annette Newman was on hand to present the award to Dave at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently.

Dave was the RILSA delegate at the 1993 World Ladies Snooker Championship in Woking UK.  He has officiated at the Ladies International Irish Open in 2017 where was a roving referee, in 2018 he refereed the semi final of the main event along with refereeing the Home Nations challenge between Ireland & England that same year.  Dave refereed the final of the 2019 Ladies International Irish Open Challenge Cup.

In 2021 Dave was on hand to referee in his first ever World Women’s Billiards Irish Open and Masters, two major events for Ireland to host.

Dave refereed one of the the semi finals of the Women’s World Billiards Championship held for the first time in Ireland since its inception in 1933 and was the marker for the final.

2023 saw Dave once more back to the table as a referee at the WBL Irish Open in the SBI Academy Carlow and followed that by refereeing at the Celtic Challenge between Ireland and Wales again at the SBI Academy Carlow.

Dave is our National Secretary, is doing great work on behalf of the organisation since his return to cue sports in 2017, we are delighted to have Dave back on board.

Congratulations to Dave on his award, so well deserved.  Thanks to Annette Newman for presenting the award on behalf of the Association and we hope that Dave will go on to claim the Silver Pin and Certificate award in the future.

These awards are not easy to get and showcase an official who is dedicated to helping female cue sports develop over a number of years
