The SB Ireland National Championships weekend at their Academy Carlow saw some of our Referees officiate over the weekends events
Dave Earle was on hand to officiate a number of earlier rounds along with the finals of the 6 Red and over 40’s events between Rodney Goggins and Johnny Farrell while Stephanie Foley refereed the U18’s and marked the final of the Amateur Championship between Brendan O’Donohue and Ross Bulman
Annette Newman shared the two finals in the Billiards with John Kehoe, the 100 up and 750 events over the weekend, contesting both of these finals were Aidan Murray and Wayne Doyle
All our referees did very well and certainly contributed to the success of the weekend finals in Carlow. All the other referees of the Referees Association were in action and also played their part in the overall success of these Championships
We at Female Cue Sports Ireland are delighted with the progress in this area and look forward to keeping and improving our involvement in officiating in the future
