Sandra Bryan from Wexford received the Bronze International Certificate and Pin award for having represented Ireland on 10 occasions at World and International events over the past 7 years.

The President of RILSA Annette Newman was on hand to present the award to Sandra at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently.

Sandra reached the last 32 of the 2015 WWS World Championship in Leeds UK  followed by reaching the semi finals of the World Seniors this same year.  She would reach the quarters of the main event of the International Irish Open in Joeys Dublin in July 2015 at the inaugural event.

2016 saw Sandra again back in Leeds UK at the WWS World Championship and reached the last 32 again, in the World Seniors she reached the last 16.  In the 2016 International Irish Open in Dublin, Sandra would go one better this time round and make it through to the semis of the main event.

In 2017 Sandra would qualify out of the group stages of the International Irish Snooker Open for the 3rd year in a row and reach the quarters on this occasion.

The International Challenge against Northern Ireland would see Sandra help the team win the event at the RILSA Academy Newbridge.  Sandra represented Ireland at the European Pool Championships and the World Pool Championships in Killarney Ireland reaching the prelim and last 32 rounds respectively.  Sandra is the first female pool player to be recognised through RILSA for her participation at European and World Pool events

Congratulations to Sandra on her award, so well deserved.  Thanks to Annette Newman for presenting the award on behalf of the Association and we hope that Sandra will go on to claim the Silver Pin and Certificate award in the future.

These awards are not easy to get and showcase a players dedication to cue sports over a number of years
